Pumping Station Monitoring

Retroflo offer a full suite of maintenance packages that range from planned servicing and asset testing, through to a fully managed package that includes remote monitoring of the pumping station, periodic electrical inspection and testing, and emergency call outs.

In response to popular requirements we’ve created the Retroflo Standard, Advanced and Complete maintenance packages, which provide tiered levels of maintenance cover. We can also tailor packages to suit the individual client requirements.

REMOTE MONITORING + RESPONSE

Our dedicated telemetry system provides 24/7 remote monitoring of station conditions, collecting live data of well levels, pump activity and equipment operations from a range of digital and analogue sensors. This means that potential problems, such as spillage and flooding, can be identified before they become critical. In many cases, equipment faults can be reset remotely without the need for site visits.

Our dedicated maintenance teams provide 24/7 coverage, receiving live data and alarms at all times of the day and night. In critical cases, our response teams can be mobilised to attend site, rectify issues and get the station back to normal operating conditions.

RETROFLO STANDARD

Planned maintenance visits are carried out to ensure the pumping station meets the minimum guidance for operation and maintenance. Our engineers visit sites on pre-planned dates to carry out a 30-point standard check-list that comprehensively covers all mechanical and electrical aspects of the installation.

RETROFLO ADVANCED

Our Advanced package includes everything in the Standard package, along with installation of Retroflo’s own telemetry system. Utilising GSM mobile technology, the system provides 24/7 monitoring of station conditions, including data feeds and alarms for electricity supply condition, wet well levels and pump condition.

RETROFLO COMPLETE

Our all-inclusive pumping station package, provides pumping station owners with the assurance that all costs relating to station upkeep are covered on a fixed annual budget. Included in the package, we undertake scheduled site maintenance, install telemetry for monitoring, provide a 24/7 fault response, both remotely and on-site, and cover all call-out costs.

CLIENT: Northumbrian Water Group

DATE: December 2015 – Jan 2016

PROJECT: Flood Alleviation Site Situated in Houghton-Le-Spring

SCOPE OF WORK: Works consisted of installing a Flood Alleviation pumping station in Houghton-Le-Spring. Retroflo were contracted to supply, install and commission the Mechanical and Electrical works of the site. This included the supply of the Motor Control Center (MCC), Instrumentation, interconnecting cable and associated junction boxes, containment items and earthing installation. Kiosks to house the MCC and REC equipment were also installed.
