Pumping Station Design

We have many years’ experience in the design of pumping stations for the public and private sector, whether small private packaged pumping stations or large water authority projects. We work closely with contractors, local authorities and equipment suppliers to ensure the seamless integration between design, installation and commissioning.

All design work is carried out to meet current sewers for adoption standards, while adhering to specific water company specifications for the sizing and positioning of new stations. Our design services include the selection of pumps, controls panels, kiosks, pipework, cabling and controls, along with civil and structural design if required.

Pumping Stations Turnkey Services

Retroflo specialise in the design, installation, commissioning and upkeep of new build pumping stations, along with the refurbishment and maintenance of existing assets. We undertake projects that range in size and complexity, where a normal gravity system cannot be used to transfer foul and surface water to the sewer system. Stations are built to provide an intermediate storage chamber that collects flows and periodically pumps the contents up a rising main to the discharge point. The image below shows installations over the past 12 months (Dec 2017).
